Originally from Newfoundland - Kanaska Carter is a singer/songwriter, tattoo artist, writer/author, custom painter for skateboards, fashion designer, model, activist and event co-ordinator currently residing in Canada.

 

With a new all-natural detoxification product line to remove toxins, heavy metals, radiation from the skin while promoting healing.

 

Merchandise ranging from clothing, all-natural lip balm, healing kits, moisturizer, shampoo and soap, lubrication, healing kits, zeolite detoxification facial/body masks, orgonite necklaces, furniture and other orgonite art pieces.

 

She has been writing a book 'The Eerie Theory Guide To Mystery' for 6 years now - to be released in 2014.

Kanaska was involved in two major protests including social housing rights for the homeless in Vancouver during the Olympics, 2010 and again at Occupy Wall Street in New York, 2011. During her involvement in Occupy Wall Street her photo was featured as the main photo for The Fovea Exhibition in New York for 'Occupy!'. She was also invited to be on the album 'Occupy This Album' - 100 tracks - 1 album - 4 cd's. Other artists on this album include Willie Nelson, Crosby & Nash, Third Eye Blind, Our Lady Peace, Blondie, Patti Smith, Ani Difranco, Anti-flag, Toots & The Maytals, Jackson Browne, Immortal Technique, Joan Baez, Yoko Ono, James McMurtry, Steve Earle, filmmaker Michael Moore, Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine, Mogwai, Lucinda Williams, The Guthrie Family, Yo La Tengo, Rain Phoenix, DJ Logic, Tao Seeger and many more.

 

This album has since gone on to be nominated for The Shorty Awards and won 'Compilation Album' for The Independent Music Awards on August 6th, 2013.

 

Kanaska has a semi-nude artistic calendar to be released this year with topics ranging from human/animal/environmental rights, world issues, solutions to help existence, spirituality and more.
